Questions

Still have a question? .

Which plan is right for me?

Using mex on your own or with a team through Git? Open Source is free forever. Want your own memory hosted and synced across machines? Individual. Want one governed memory the whole team and every agent works from, with an admin view of drift, access and what gets promoted? Team. Need SSO, audit export or a private deployment? Enterprise.

Is the CLI really free forever?

Yes. Memory in your repo, shared through Git, stays free and open source. Hosted mex adds governance on top. It is not the CLI behind a paywall.

Why don't you charge per seat?

Your agents read team memory far more often than people do, and so do CI jobs. Per-seat pricing would make you decide who gets access to the team's standards. We price per codebase so you can add everyone.

What counts as a project?

A repository, or one package in a monorepo, whose memory is governed in hosted mex. Fair use applies.

What if we need more than 10 projects?

Talk to us. Enterprise includes unlimited projects.

What is the Founding Team offer?

The first 25 teams in early access pay $199/month for their first 12 months, instead of $399, in exchange for regular feedback while we build hosted mex with you.

What happens after the 12 months?

Your workspace moves to the standard Team price. We'll remind you well before it changes.

Will I be charged when I apply?

No. Hosted mex is in early access. We onboard teams in order, and nobody is charged until their workspace is live.

What does "2 months free" mean on annual?

Annual billing is 10× the monthly price: $90/year for Individual and $3,990/year for Team.

How is hosted mex different from the open-source CLI?

The CLI keeps memory in your repo, and each teammate runs a local Hub. Hosted mex adds one shared deployment and an admin surface to govern sync, drift, access and policy, plus a review step for what gets promoted to team memory. It is not a rename of the CLI.

Which agents and tools does mex work with?

Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other tools your team already uses.

Where does our memory live?

Canonical memory lives in your repository as readable Markdown and travels with Git. Enterprise adds VPC or self-hosted deployment.

Do you offer discounts for startups or open source?

Open Source is free for everyone. For hosted, the Founding Team offer is the best price we have right now.

Bring your whole team and every agent.
